wow. i finally decided to start doing this.

this puzzle game features large puzzles (or at least significantly larger than the ones i usually design) and pushed me out of my comfort zone. tbh i don't think the puzzle that the final checkpoint presents is good at all, i just wanted to send this out prematurely just in case i don't get around to finishing it (screw you school work). enjoy (or be disappointed at my puzzle design) this multi-screen puzzle game.

inspired by "courtyard" by parachor and with help from discord user PlushLoler who gave me tips. please tell me (and don't sugar-coat it) if the puzzles are tedious or just bad due to how the screens are split. i will try to make changes (or at least rest assured that i will read your comment). anyways if you actually read all the way here thanks lmao

it features the levels i made but split up so you can edit them separately.

hmmm this game seems to have a lot of comments.
does make me a bit motivated to continue with this game and expand it.

for the people who have commented here, is it worth it? do you think all ideas have been exhausted without resorting to more walking? i may consider adding extra mechanics but i'll have to think of one that is simple and has depth

I think that there are more things you could do with the multi-screen concept, but if you consider adding more mechanics I think they would be better suited for a normal sokoban

hmmm i'll try developing. btw pls check out my new game (literally just released) :)

Really cool game!

I liked the 1st and 2nd puzzles best because they had traps that required you to think ahead.

The 3rd puzzle i found too easy but maybe that was because i was looking at the thumbnail at the same time showing the map

The last puzzle was a nice victory lap like Parachor said

:)

thanks! May go remake puzzle 3

Cool stuff! I appreciated the puzzle design gradually guiding the player to not take the most obvious route first, and instead imagine other uses for what is given. The final victory lap of sorts was also a satisfying conclusion.

:)

thanks for your comment!

That was great! And I'm glad i played it after you implemented both the other comments suggestions (i think). The fast key repeat and little messages made it all the more fun!

thanks :)

and i just realised you're adofai dev...
holy shit lmao

Fun little game. Yes, the final puzzle was slightly tedious, but given how short and humble the game is in scope, I don't think the player is expecting too much. The only thing I'd request is having a lower key_repeat_interval (you can type that in directly at the top of your puzzlescript file). I would say the long walk at the end made it a bit more satisfying to finally grab the heart.

thanks for comments!
yeah the long walk was to allow the player to walk through the whole map, all 16 screens.
update coming with lower key repeat interval and some other stuff soon :)
(update probably coming in a few hours actually)

I got the heart!  Maybe some messages after each checkpoint just to make things slightly more interesting.

thanks for playing! I'll add funny messages in next update. How did you feel about the game in general? Too tedious? Did the aha moment after the first checkpoint feel good?
